Role Description
As a Walked mentor, you will have the opportunity to offer college consulting sessions to students applying to college
- Set your own price and schedule
- Conduct online sessions via Zoom (typically 1 hour per session)
Responsibilities
- One-on-one college application consulting sessions
- Provide constructive feedback on college essay drafts or ideas
- Help students brainstorm, refine, or finalize personal statements, supplementaries, and activities lists
- Assist students in developing a comprehensive showcasing strategy, including achievements, extracurriculars, and recommendations.
- Provide college-specific tips or strategies
- Provide feedback about Walked and tell us how we can do better.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree at a top-ranked US institution
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in college admissions consulting or mentorship
- Experience in essay mentoring or related work
- In-depth knowledge of the undergraduate application process
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Personal success in securing admissions and scholarships at Top 20 universities.
- Track record of sending students to Ivy-league or T30 universities
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in Korean, Chinese, or other languages may be useful, but is not required.
